Calling all artists: the Doodle for Google Contest has officially launched! One of the country’s most popular scholarships, this opportunity is available to a wide range of students. Each year, a new Doodle for Google theme is unveiled, and applicants are asked to submit a sketch on what that theme means to them.

Doodle for Google Scholarship

The Doodle for Google 2024 theme is “my wish for the next 25 years,” in celebration of Google’s 25th Birthday. Students will need to submit a doodle that exemplifies what the future looks like to them.
The contest is judged on creativity, artistic skill, originality, and how well the doodle is expressed. It’s not only fun but can be a deeply personal exercise. To apply, students must download an entry form, submit a piece of art that conveys the theme, and a summary that details why created what you did. Your Doodle for Google masterpiece can be comprised of crayons, real materials, digital art, and even clay. Entries can be submitted electronically as .png or .jpeg files.

Doodle for Google Finalists

Doodles are separated into different age groups, and from those groupings, finalists are selected: • Grades K – 3 • Grades 4 – 5 • Grades 6 – 7 • Grades 8 – 9 • Grades 10 – 12
A panel of judges will select one image from each age group to represent each U.S. state and territory, culminating in 54 images total. An online gallery of these images will be made available to the public, who will vote for their favorites. Once the public voting period closes, five national finalists will be selected. Finally, a panel of Google Employees will name the Doodle for Google national winner from the finalists.
