High School Internships You Haven't Heard About
Internships are not just for college students.
Imagine how ahead of the game you'd be if you were able to begin building career experience on your resume during your high school years. Plus, consider how robust your college applications or brag sheet would be if they included high school internship experience.

Why High School Internships Are Important

High school internships are a great way to help you determine what career path you would like to take. For instance, you may feel like you would like to major in a STEM field, only to realize this industry is not for you. It is best to figure this out before you start college, rather than half-way through. Knowing exactly what you would like to major in and the career path you would like to take will make college more affordable for you. Save time and money by only taking the college courses you must to have. Also, many students find mentors from their internship experiences. A mentor can offer you valuable college advice and provide real insights right from the industry you will be working in someday. Having these types of connections can help you secure internships in college and your first entry-level job post college graduation. There are so many benefits to having a high school internship! The work experience you'd gain as an intern will help you in so many ways, from college prep to testing career fields.
