On March 21, 2023, President Joe Biden enacted April as Arab American Heritage Month. According to the Arab American Institute, 3.7 million Americans can trace their roots to an Arab country, and this number will only continue to grow.
Colleges and universities as well as private organizations see the need to recognize and support Arab American students in their post-high school paths, whether that be trade school, community college, or a four-year university. These students comprise the American fabric, enabling our country to thrive through a diverse student base and emerging workforce.
As President Biden stated in his White House Proclamation, "This Arab American Heritage Month, let us all strive to honor our fundamental values and advance equity and opportunity for all people, affirming once again that diversity is our country's greatest strength." Celebrate your heritage and apply for the following scholarships for Arab American students.
