There are still amazing scholarships out there that allow entries of all kinds – like videos, artwork, photography and more. To help better organize your scholarship and internship search, please note that the following scholarships for writers are listed according to deadline, with the earliest deadline appearing at the top of the page. Award Amount: $100,000
The Penny For A Free Ride Sweepstakes is open to students between the ages of 15 and 21. You must submit a photo of demonstrating a tire tread depth test with a penny or a tire pressure test using a pressure gauge and tag #pennyforafreeride and @MichelinUSA in order to be considered for this award. National Cartoonists Society Foundation – Jay Kennedy Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: 12/20/19
Available to: College Juniors through College Seniors
Award Amount: $5,000

$2,500 Student Loan Forgiveness Scholarship

Deadline: 12/31/19
Available to: Ages 18+
Award Amount: $2,500 “Forgive and forget” may work when you spill queso on a sibling’s shirt, but when it comes to your student loan debt, it doesn’t always work that way. Unfortunately, most people won’t qualify for full student loan forgiveness. But that doesn’t mean it’s out of reach. Tell us how student loan payments have kept you from moving forward with your life and we just might give you $2,500 toward your student loan bill. The Scholarship can also be applied to Student Loan Debt so students who have already graduated or will graduate can apply to pay down their student loans with this scholarship should they win. One Young Earth Filmmakers Contest

Deadline: 1/05/20
Available to: Ages 25 & Under
Award Amount: $1,000 The One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest is open to both college and high school students who are no more than 25 years of age. You must submit a video between three and eight minutes that shares and highlights solutions to the issues discussed in the chosen sustainability topic(s) chosen from the list on the sponsor's website. The film entry’s theme must be solution - based. The film should talk about an environmental / sustainability problem and then discuss what could be a potential solution to this problem. Express Medical Supply Scholarship

Deadline: 1/06/20
Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $500 The Express Medical Supply Scholarship is available to students enrolled at an accredited university or college. Girls Impact the World Film Festival Scholarship

Deadline: 1/20/20
Available to: High School Freshmen through College Seniors
Award Amount: $1,000 - $5,000 The Girls Impact the World Film Festival Scholarship is available to full - time high school and undergraduate students who are ages 25 and under. To be considered, you must submit an original, three - to six - minute short film that addresses global women's issues such as: education for girls, maternal health, violence against women and girls, or a variety of other issues. Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship

Deadline: 1/30/20
Available to: High School Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $1,000 The Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship is available to high school, undergraduate or graduate students. You must be U.S. citizen or legal resident and submit a 140-character message that relates to technology addiction to qualify for this award. $5,000 Discover Student Loans Scholarship

Deadline: 1/31/20
Available to: High School Seniors through College Seniors
Award Amount: $5,000 Students and parents can enter to win a $5,000 scholarship from Discover Student Loans to help pay for college. No essay or lengthy application required. $15,000 TeenDrive365 Video Challenge

Deadline: 2/26/20
Available to: High School Freshmen through College Freshmen
Award Amount: $15,000 The first year after a teen gets their license is one of the most dangerous years of their life. That's why Discovery Education and Toyota created the TeenDrive365 Video Challenge, which encourages high school students across the country to send a powerful message to fellow teens about the dangers of driving distracted, by creating a 30-60 second video public service announcement. Videos will be judged and the top 10 entries will win cash prizes up to $15,000. This year, there are more chances than ever to win! Create-A-Greeting Card Scholarship Contest

Available to: High School Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $10,000
The Create-A-Greeting Card Scholarship Contest is open to currently enrolled high school and college students in the United States. To enter, you must design a holiday, get well, or birthday greeting card and submit your work to be judged. Your photo, art, or graphics submitted must be your own original work and you must be at least 14 years of age to be eligible for this award. Prom Pics Contest

Deadline: Varies
Available to: High School Juniors through High School Seniors
Award Amount: $250 The Prom Pics Contest is open to high school students. To be eligible, you must submit a high resolution photo from your prom event. CKSF Scholarship Competition

Deadline: Varies
Available to: High School Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $2,500
The CKSF Scholarships are available to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in the U.S. You must register to participate in scholarship quizzes that test your knowledge of topics ranging from general "common knowledge" to specific academic subjects, books, websites, and even movies. American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest

Deadline: Varies
Amount: $18,000
Ages: High School Freshmen through High School Seniors The National High School Oratorical Contest is open to junior high and high school students who are under the age of 20 and citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States. You must prepare an oration on some aspect of the U.S. Constitution, with some emphasis on the duties and obligations of citizens to our government. Each individual state winner certified into and participating in the first round of the national contest receives an additional $1,500 scholarship.
