Snacks and scholarships. Who would’ve thought these two went together so well?! Frito-Lay, America’s snack company, is onto something with this snack-scholarship fusion. This scholarship program is all that and a bag of chips!
The $100,000 scholarship program is an opportunity to honor students from all backgrounds who improve their communities. The Frito-Lay scholarship winners will receive financial assistance to help them pay for trade school or college. Joan Cetera, the Vice president of corporate affairs at PepsiCo, adds, “As these young leaders take the reins, we see a path towards a future where communities are more resilient, where diversity and inclusion are celebrated, and where every individual has the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.”

The Frito-Lay Community Builder Scholarship is available to high school senior and undergraduate students who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study in the U.S. at an accredited post-secondary institution or vocational-technical school.
• Be a U.S. Resident
• Have a Minimum GPA of 2.5
• Submit an Essay
Students are encouraged to share their leadership skills, extracurricular activities, work experience, and personal and professional goals.
The scholarship judges are made up of Frito-Lay employees committed to community building, too! The judging panel includes frontline workers, resource group leaders, and executives.
