$15,000 Ocean Awareness Scholarship Program

Bow Seat is the world’s largest environmental youth program with a creative arts focus. The organization provides a platform for students to connect, create, and communicate on behalf of planet Earth. Ten winners will receive scholarship money from Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs, Inc. The contest is divided into two levels, Junior and Senior Divisions. • Ages 11-14: Junior Division • Ages 15-18 Senior Division JUMP TO APPLY FOR THE OCEAN AWARENESS SCHOLARSHIP Five prizes will be awarded to each division. Prize levels are as follows: • Gold - $1,000 • Silver - $750 • Gold - $1,000 • Silver - $750 • Bronze - $500 • Pearl - $250 • Honorable Mention - $100 • Five, $500 We All Rise Prizes We All Rise Prizes will be awarded to U.S. students that identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or Latino, in both age divisions.

How to Qualify for the Ocean Awareness Contest

To be eligible, you must be a student ages 13-18. This scholarship contest is open to U.S. and international students.

How to Apply for the Ocean Scholarship

Share your climate story through art, writing, performance, film, or multimedia. Students may choose from seven categories: • Visual Art: Handcrafted • Visual Art: Digital • Creative Writing • Film • Interactive and Multimedia • Performing Arts: Music and Dance • Poetry and Spoken Word Along with your creative piece (all categories), you’ll submit a written reflection. Scholarship judges will use this to understand your work and personal perspective. 2024 winners will be announced in November. Winners and their sponsors will be notified via email before results are publicly announced.
